Neon Signs

Neon signs are great for both interior and exterior use however they require special handling and some cities may not allow exterior neon signs. Neon colors come only in the basic colors and two choices each. For example, two shades of red, blue, green, yellow, etc. While special colors can be created, they are expensive and not all special colors can be achieved.

The most common way of installing a neon sign is to mount it to an acrylic, wood or aluminum backer. This makes handling and installation easier and less expensive. If installing neon letters direct to a wall then the wall must meet specific requirements.

The additional components to drive the neon sign are the transformers. The size and number of letters or graphics within your neon sign will determine the power and number of transformers that you will need.
