All illuminated signs require “maintenance”. Regardless of whether your sign is a Pole, Monument, Pylon, Channel Letters or a simple cabinet sign – THEY ALL MUST BE SERVICED!! You paid good hard earned money for your sign so protect that investment.

If your sign is a pole, monument, pylon or cabinet then it most likely is illuminated with Fluorescent lamps which require replacing of the lamps and ballast units. No different than replacing bulbs in your home!

If your sign is individual channel letters, a small recently made monument or cabinet then it could be illuminated with LED Modules which require replacing of the Modules and power supply units. Again, no different than replacing bulbs in your home!

If your sign is illuminated with NEON Tubes then those tubes also need to be replaced. The units used to drive NEON signs are called transformer boxes. Multiple transformer boxes will be used to power up a larger sign.

WHEN SHOULD YOU SERVICE YOUR SIGN?

You service your sign when ANY of the lights are out. (This could be a single letter or a partial corner of a monument, pole, cabinet or pylon)

You service your sign if when illuminated – the sign is not vibrant.
You service your sign when the sign flickers at times.
When the sign doesn’t light up at all.
If your sign needs cleaning – maybe your sign is a favorite place for birds to nest.

WHAT DOES THE LABOR COST YOU TO SERVICE YOUR SIGN?

The cost of labor varies from $125.00 to $250.00 an hour per truck depending on whether or not it is a one man or two man job. That cost variance also depends on what type of truck is needed to access your sign.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SERVICE MY SIGN?

The time it takes to service your sign could be as short as 3 hours or as long as 72 hours, depending on our schedule, the problem and your location. We do work evenings and weekends. Some jobs require two trips depending on your sign parameters and exact problem. A phone consultation with a few questions answered by you can generally determine the problem.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE PROBLEM IS STRICTLY ELECTRICAL & NOT THE SIGN?

No problem. We work with our own C-10 Licensed Electrical Contractor that can fix any electrical problem extending beyond 5 feet of the sign. We can assist you in fixing the problem in an economical way by a licensed electrician.

WHAT IF MY SIGN IS VERY OLD & RUSTED BUT IT’S GRANDFATHERED IN TO THE CITY CODES?

No problem. We have “refurbished large pole & pylon signs” that cannot be structurally altered. When this is the case we cut out all rust spots and rivet back in new aluminum plates. We replace retaining systems (which holds the sign faces in) and we also replace all panels, lighting, power supply or ballast and check that the main power source is good. We can even change or add a new “pole cover” to give your pole, monument or pylon sign a whole new look and dimension!
